Rachel thought a blog was the best way for other people to see what she was up to. It makes her feel special to write about herself in the third person.

GOT MY PASSPORT BACK!

After 2.5 months of uncertainty I finally have back my passport. In it is a residency permit. I slept comfortably last night, with a wee smile in my face.

I also have a phone, after 2 months, Missy's phone has reached me, so I'll sort out a sim card today.

ah.

You seem completely sorted, passport, mobile, top flat mate and other chums, everything! Brilliant! I'm really glad it's all worked out. A studied lesson in perseverance! I'm off to South America on Wednesday then. See ya! XX :-)

Congrats. I'm happy things are working in your favor now! I have read through your past posts about what has happened with the volunteer program. What has come of this? Are they now treating you well?

Hi there and congrats on getting the passport back!

I follow a bunch of efl blogs and I have to say yours is one of the more interesting...so tag, you're it! I was tagged and have to pass it to 5 others - the idea is to share five things about yourself that your readers probably don't know and then tag five more people. The rules are flexible and it's just for fun but let me know if you decide to play in the next few days (there's an efl activity at the end of this!)

My post is here: http://www.tefllogue.com/the-teaching-life/five-things-you-didnt-know-about.html

Happy new year!

Hey American

Turns out the facilitator fires and re-hires people often, have spoken to a couple of people he has fired. I don't like it. I don't think it is a particually good way to express disatisfaction with your empolyees. Or that could just be my arrogant, self-rightous, superority-complexed western mind talking :)

The coordinator has quit (after being fired). it doesn't matter, i have my passport, so i have my freedom, safety and security back in my own hands.

Nice to hear from you again.
R.

Hi Missy
Dissertation in today! Treat yourself for a while. Hugs F.

Hiya Katie

My readers are mostly people I know (you know in the physical, non-cyber reality), I really don't know how anyone else stumbles across this blog or why they read.

So most my readers will already know the following:

1. I'm a New Zealander whose been away from New Zealand for 8 years, 4 months and 8 days

2. I don't react well to wasp stings.

3. last year I had 11 peircings and 1 tattoo, I now have 9 peircings and 1 tattoo.

4. I'm a Witch.

5. I don't pass on forwards unless I think they are really funny or particually relvent to someone. So I'm not going to find 5 people to tag... sorry

Rachel.

Rachel,

I stumbled onto your blog while researching for TEFL programs. They have a website that links TEFL blogs so someone must have submitted yours. If I ever find the website again, I'll let you know. I've become particularly enthralled in your experience, despite having disagreements. Have a great weekend!
